About the Author: Gerald Pacatang
Gerald writes and edits every guide on this site. Here is who he is, how he works, and how to reach him.
Background
Gerald Pacatang is a Filipino writer focused on online gaming for the local market. He started out the way most players do: a phone, a GCash wallet, and a lot of confusing promo pages. After seeing friends lose money to fake "agents" and bonus terms they never read, he began writing simple explainers. Those explainers became the 218PLUSPH Player Guide.
How Gerald tests and writes
- Plays like a regular player. Mobile-first, small stakes, local e-wallets. That's why the mobile guide and payments guide are so detailed.
- Reads the fine print. Every bonus explanation is based on how wagering terms actually work. See bonuses explained.
- Checks facts against official sources. Regulators, payment providers and game rules, as described in our editorial policy.
- Uses AI as an assistant, not an author. Drafts are AI-assisted. Gerald verifies, rewrites and approves everything that gets published.
- Keeps guides fresh. Every update is logged on the content freshness page.
Areas of focus
- Account setup and safety: registration and the legit check
- Casino games: slots, live casino and fishing, crash & cards
- Sports: PBA and NBA betting basics
- Player wellbeing: budgeting and responsible gaming
"If a guide makes you deposit more than you planned, it's a bad guide. Mine should help you play less recklessly, not more."
